RRCUS National Specialty 2010 - Finals

In case you wee wondering why it took me so long to get this section up, it's because I did not download it onto my computer at the end of the show. The photos were on my camera, but as I got on the plane in LA to go to Mobile, my luggage, with the camera connector wire, got on a plane and went to JAPAN! LOL. Finally, my AWOL bag has returned from it's adventure, a bit battered, but with all it's stuff intact. Too bad I couldn't get frequent flier miles out of that!

The last day's loot! So pretty fluttering in the breeze.

The Margaret Lowthian Award for the BOB breeder. Presented this year by Jay Hyman.

The first half of my placements...BOB, WD, BOS, Select Dog and Bitch, the AOMs.

The last half of the line up with my lovely Veteran Dog and Bitch at the end.

The middle half with my Select Dog and Select Bitch leading this bunch. RRCUS gives up to 10 Awards of Merit. AKC threw us the dilemma of what to do about the Selects - do they get Select and AOM or not?? I went to the source: The AKC Judge's Department and asked them. Their answer was SD/SB had to also get an AOM. (Knowing AKC, that could be changed by now depending on how many people complain!)

This is a shot off all who made the final cut before I pulled out my finalists.

Second half of all the survivors. All these handlers/owners deserve much praise for making it all this way. Too bad we don't give more placements!

The last half with the WD/WB at the end, VD/VB next, FD/Fb ahead of them.
They might not have all gotten something, but it's important to me to show them off!

The sun setting at the end of the specialty's final day. It was fitting that the fog had gone away and you could see the Channel Islands off the coast. The end.

About This Blog

Originally, this was a place to tell you my news. Then I got a new camera and it became a way to see how we live here at Kalahari Rhodesian Ridgebacks - the fun things, the everyday things and even the humdrum things.

It's just home. I'm glad you stopped by and come again!
