Puppy Evaluations Revisited

Prize resembles her Australian ancestors as she has more "arch" over the loin area than we usually see here in the US. She's also still a bit broad in the body, but seems to be growing to fit herself more each day. She's got a lot of front - a good thing - and a really deep chest - both remarkable for her tender age.

Prize again...showing a good length of neck..

There's a bunch here of Magic...at first his tail was going a mile a minute..

...and then he settled down a bit. I put lots on here as it for other interested parties to see and evaluate.

He could use a bit of Prize's depth of chest, but it's more typical for pups to look like him at this age, than like her.

Stephanie said she could see the "adult dog" in him, whereas Prize is very puppyish in appearance still. In the photos, it seems just the opposite. I suppose it's just a trick of the eye?

Love his face, angles, bone and topline at this age. We'll just have to wait a couple more weeks to see how they grow.

About This Blog

Originally, this was a place to tell you my news. Then I got a new camera and it became a way to see how we live here at Kalahari Rhodesian Ridgebacks - the fun things, the everyday things and even the humdrum things.

It's just home. I'm glad you stopped by and come again!
