Evening Walk About

It's been sooooo hot here. About 6:30 PM, it finally cooled down to the lower 80s, enough for a round or two of the backyard. The dogs quickly left me for the pear tree where they were scarfing down the goodies. Only Sizzle and Oz stayed with me on my walk and they discovered a squirrel on the far back leg of the property. Naturally, once they alerted, the pear tree squad came a running.

I left them all staring up into the trees and continued my round. I found the muscadine vine was starting to put out it's fruits....

....and the Humming Bird bush was blooming... I wasn't fast enough to get a Hummer feeding.

And I found this lovely wild climbing fern like plant growing on a old piece of fencing. Mother Nature is such a great decorator! She can even make an old rusty wire look good.

About This Blog

Originally, this was a place to tell you my news. Then I got a new camera and it became a way to see how we live here at Kalahari Rhodesian Ridgebacks - the fun things, the everyday things and even the humdrum things.

It's just home. I'm glad you stopped by and come again!
