Herding Day

Some of our group had a herding day over at the Vancleave arena. We invited others from the area who might be interested, too. There were ducks and sheep to try them on. The "green" dogs went first, then the afternoon was taken by the old pros.

Jennifer brought Matrix and tried him on the ducks.

He was interested in them without being in "killer" mode... something his momma, Diva, is when she sees small feathery critters... I didn't bring her!

After this, we rescued it and put in over in the pen... but Matrix wanted ALL the ducks out...somehow he knew they should all be together.

Kept his distance, but kept his eye on them...

My other boys weren't interested in ducks, but Magic and Ozzie had a go at the sheep. They weren't sure if they were some strange kind of dog or not. Magic had a good interest, but Ozzie started giving Ellie, the Border Collie, the evil eye....he thought he was suppose to protect the sheep from Ellie! I called it off because he was becoming very vexed at her! LOL!
